For Immediate Hiring:
RFRI Technical Officer


The Rain Forest Restoration Initiative (RFRI) Network is loose network of professionals and advocates who work together to advance Rainforestation in the Philippines. It is made up of 15 members (13 organizations; 2 individuals). RFRI envisions a society that embraces the use of native species for ecological integrity.

RFRI is looking for a dynamic Technical Officer who will be based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage the Network (members and information).

2. Play a leading role in facilitating, organizing, documenting events/ activities of RFRI.

3. Coordinate and facilitate meetings.

4. Help identify and recruit participants for events and possible partners (e.g. sponsors, etc).

5. Attend, promote, and represent RFRI during meetings, trainings, conferences, and other events.

6. Maintain and moderate the facebook page, and discussion groups.

7. Ensure updating of information for website (www.rainforestation.ph).

8. Help in prepare draft position papers, communication letters, or research papers on issues of common concern when needed.

9. Manage the RFRI workplan, budget and reports.

10.Compile and prepare bi-annual minutes and other RFRI paraphernalia.

11. Develop concepts for IEC/reference materials (Newsletter, posters, comics, case studies).

12.Develop proposals for funding and contribute to resource mobilization (e.g. ensuring active participation of members).

13.Travel to field sites when needed.

14.Develop or help prepare plans and strategies to improve the institutional capacity of RFRI.

15.Perform other tasks assigned by RFRI.
