The Province of Bukidnon, through the initiative of the Provincial Governor, Hon. Alex P. The 2-day Mindanao Rainforest Restoration Forum is being held to further cultivate initial gains in Bukidnon and to guide other restoration endeavors in Mindanao in using native species. The conference will also be used to promote better cooperation in Mindanao protected area management as a way to address national interests and global imperatives on biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.

Objectives:

The objectives of the forum are as follows:
  1. To introduce and enhance the awareness and cooperation among Mindanao stakeholders in the propagation and planting of native species.
  2. To engage and develop partnerships with the Mindanao Protected Area Managers, Pollution Control Officers, Local Policy Makers, Tribal Community Organizations, Academe and Local Government Units in the planning, research, resource mobilization and implementation of Rainforest Restoration Farming Strategy.
